What is UsedCars.sx?

UsedCars.sx is a free used-car listing registry for St. Maarten / Saint Martin. Sellers submit vehicle details and photos, and buyers can browse public listings and contact sellers directly.

Is UsedCars.sx a dealership or broker?

No. UsedCars.sx is not a dealership, broker, escrow service, payment processor, inspector, appraiser, or intermediary. Sales happen directly between buyer and seller.

Is it free to post a car?

Yes. Posting a listing is free.

How long does a listing stay active?

Approved listings stay active for 30 days. After that, they may be archived, and you can request an extension by emailing hello@usedcars.sx.

Who reviews listings before they go live?

UsedCars.sx reviews submissions before they appear publicly. We may request changes, reject, archive, or remove listings at our discretion.

Can I edit my listing after submitting it?

Yes. If your listing needs changes, you can work with the review team by email. Once approved, you can also contact us if you need help updating a live listing.

How do buyers contact sellers?

Buyers can use the WhatsApp/contact number shown on the approved listing to contact the seller directly.

Is my email shown publicly?

No. Seller email is used for review and moderation communication and is not displayed publicly by default.

Is my WhatsApp number shown publicly?

Yes, if you provide a WhatsApp/contact number for the listing, it may be shown publicly so buyers can contact you directly.

Does UsedCars.sx inspect vehicles?

No. We do not inspect vehicles or verify condition on behalf of buyers.

Does UsedCars.sx guarantee mileage, price, title, or ownership?

No. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, and buyers should verify details directly with the seller before making any decision.

What should I check before buying a car?

View the vehicle in person, verify documents and VIN/chassis details where applicable, and do your own due diligence before sending any payment or deposit.

Should I send a deposit before seeing the vehicle?

We recommend waiting until you have verified the vehicle and the seller in person.

What documents should I verify?

Where applicable, verify ownership documents, inspection status, insurance status, and VIN/chassis details before agreeing to buy.

How do I report a suspicious listing?

Email hello@usedcars.sx with the listing link and a short explanation of the issue.

Can dealers post listings?

Yes, if the listing complies with our Terms of Service and the seller has the right to post the vehicle.

Can private sellers post listings?

Yes. Private sellers are welcome to post listings.

Can I upload photos I found online?

No. Please only upload photos you own or have permission to use.

What happens if my listing is rejected?

If a listing is rejected, we will not publish it. If possible, we may contact you with a reason or ask for corrections.
